OWS is committed to the community and proud to sponsor volunteer opportunities and support local organizations both directly and indirectly through contributions to the philanthropic efforts of employees.

United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI). OWS became a UNPRI Signatory in September 2017. While OWS does not currently manage or advise funds or accounts that pursue ESG-focused strategies, as a UNPRI Signatory, OWS will endeavor to: (i) incorporate environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) issues into its investment analysis and decision-making processes; (ii) be an active owner and incorporate ESG issues into its ownership policies and practices; (iii) seek appropriate disclosure on ESG issues by the entities in which it invests; (iv) promote acceptance and implementation of UNPRI within the investment industry; (v) work to enhance its effectiveness in implementing the UNPRI principles; and (vi) report on its activities and progress toward implementing UNPRI.

High Water Women. Throughout the years, OWS collaborated with High Water Women in its Backpack Drive to donate backpacks filled with school supplies to some of New York City/New Jersey/ Connecticut’s neediest children before the start of the new school year. Since High Water Women began their Backpack Drive began in 2005, over 137,300 children in need have been able to start the school year with new backpacks ready to learn

Citymeals-on-Wheels.  OWS annually supports Citymeals on wheels. Citymeals is one of the largest meals-on-wheels programs in the U.S., providing 2.2 million meals to 18,400 elderly New Yorkers each year. In addition to nutritionally balanced senior meals, volunteers deliver vital human companionship.

OWS Employee Efforts. OWS Partners are active in their communities, including serving on the National Board of Directors of the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation and on the Board of Focus for A Future Inc.  OWS supports employee efforts in community improvement and fundraising.
